Sayuri Kohaku

About

Years before the fourth great Shinobi War, there was a period of time were peace graced the fire nation. This was interrupted by various things, one being the utter destruction of the Kohaku clan, who's reanimated bodies were used during a coup in Konohagakure.

The clan seemed to cease complete, their small village along the land of fire's border remaining in shambles. However, not all had been slaughtered during the attack on the clan. A single girl, no more than 12, had been sent months prior to the village hidden in the leaves for training and to help with any missions the Hokage, Tsunade Senju, saw fit at the time. Sayuri remains the sole heir of the Kohaku legacy, though she stayed in the leaf village with no clear indication of going back to rebuild her clan name.

She honed her skills and rose to the ranks of Jonin over the years and is now the sensei to a team of her own, even if she's unsure of her ability to teach them.

Abilities

Born from an excellent group of shinobi, Sayuri's prowess as a ninja is as expected. She wields two nature releases; water and wind. Over time, she's mastered the technique of molding the two natures together to create an "ice" nature of her own.

She's proficient in ninjutsu and taijutsu, but her specialty lies in genjutsu. For a while she trained under Kurenai Yūhi to hone her talent. Utilizing the combined natures technique, Sayuri is able to cause enemies to hallucinate if they are trapped within any trap she conjures with the ice.

Personality

As a child, Sayuri was warm and kind yet had trouble opening up to others outside of her immediate family. After moving to the Leaf village and ultimately remaining there after the attack on the Kohaku clan, this trait has worsened. Be it out of fear for those she feels responsible for or something else, the woman keeps others at arm's length more often than not.
She follows rules that have been set with utmost care, only deviating from such when lives are in jeopardy or in extreme cases where logic is overruled. Even though she's made no plans to restore her clan, there's a great deal of pride within Sayuri in regards to being the only known survivor of the Kohaku massacre. To display this, she paints her clans symbol in halves on her cheeks, as well as secretly wears her old Kohaku headband beneath her Konohagakure stitched to her sash.

Quirks & Trivia

Sayuri loves sweets to a fault. It's one of the few times she displays emotion without restraint. Her favorite treat is daifuku
Her favorite animal is the fox.
Sayuri insists that anyone worth anything should always be on time.
She hates reading despite her intelligence and normally makes someone else go through the mundane task if it's more than a few paragraphs.
